Winners of the Sam Payne Awards for 2017 announced by UBCP/ACTRA - APRIL 4, 2018, VANCOUVER, B.C. – Thirty-six years after his death, the legacy left by Sam Payne continues to be applauded by the British Columbia acting community. One of Canada’s well loved and respected professional actors, Sam Payne is remembered not only for his contribution to Canadian theatre, film, radio and television, but also for his personal attributes, which included humanity, artistic integrity and encouragement of new talent.

UBCP/ACTRA Secures New British Columbia Master Production Agreement - Vancouver – UBCP/ACTRA announced today that they have reached tentative terms for renewal of the British Columbia Master Production Agreement (BCMPA). Upon ratification of the tentative settlement Performers will receive a rate increase of 9% over the three-year term of the agreement.
