UBCP/ACTRA Awards Overview
This year the UBCP/ACTRA AWARDS will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Vancouver Playhouse.
The call for submissions will go out on May 15th and the deadline to submit will be July 15th.
To be eligible the performance must:
- have aired between June 2nd 2015 and June 1st 2016.
- be a UBCP/ACTRA or ACTRA signatory production – domestic or international.
Those being submitted must be UBCP/ACTRA (BC branch) members in good standing. (Full, Apprentice, Extra). Suspended, resigned, withdrawn members are not eligible.
Tickets for the awards are allocated to UBCP/ACTRA (BC branch) members by a lottery draw at no cost. Members who have their name drawn will be offered a second ticket for no cost if their guest is a UBCP/ACTRA member or at a cost of $50 if they are bringing a non-member guest.
The lottery draw will go out in October via email and social media.

Best Actress – Camille Sullivan for her role in The Birdwatcher
Best Emerging Performer – Jacob Tremblay for his role in Room
Best Voice – Lee Tockar for his performance in Slug
Best Stunt – Adrian Hein for his performance in Arrow
The John Juliani Award of Excellence was presented to John Wardlow, and the Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award was presented to Joy Coghill.
