TOP BC TALENT HONOURED AT THE 2014 UBCP/ACTRA AWARDS IN VANCOUVER

Vancouver – November 22, 2014 – The Union of BC Performers is pleased to announce the winners of the 2014 UBCP/ACTRA Awards in Vancouver.

 

Best Actress – Sara Canning

Best Actor – Ian Tracey

Best Newcomer – Taylor Hill

Best Voice  – Andrea Libman

Best Stunt  – Leif Havdale

The John Juliani Award of Excellence was presented to Jay Brazeau and the Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award was presented to Gabrielle Rose.

 

“This is our third UBCP/ACTRA Awards and it just gets better every year” said Alvin Sanders, President of UBCP/ACTRA. There is such a great feeling when we can come together and celebrate. Congratulations and well done.”

 

Stars such Michael Eklund (The Call), Olivia Cheng (Marco Polo), Chelah Horsdal (Hell on Wheels), Richard Harmon (The Age of Adeline),  Enuka Okuma (Rookie Blue), Nicholas Lea (Crimes of Mike Recket) and Ona Grauer (Archer) celebrated with their peers on this special night.

 

The Awards Gala evening was hosted by Tom Cavanagh (Ed; The Flash) and produced by Jay Ono of Vancouver Theatre Sports.

 

The awards show was presented by UBCP/ACTRA at the Vancouver Playhouse in Vancouver on November 22, 2014 and was attended by over 650 industry professionals including UBCP members, industry partners, press and politicians.
