Christine Willes – Chair, UBCP/ACTRA Women’s Committee –

“Women performers have faced a significant deficit in work opportunities in our industry for decades. 2014 UBCP statistics inform us that of 32, 526 Member engagements, only 35% were performed by women Members. The Women’s Committee is part of the global advocacy working to change this serious, and unjust, gender imbalance. Women of all diversities are coming together to promote change. We are storytellers within the creative industries, and we want to see the realities we live in reflected on our screens. You are welcome to join us in this exciting and empowering work.”
